Thought I'd put a quick post up showing some of my house in Chile.
Everything in Viña del Mar and Valparaíso is very small and close together. This was our garden outside the sliding glass door. It's a good sized garden for the area. There is no such thing as a "yard" as we know it here in Kentucky. Sitting on the couch in the living room will give you a view through a glass wall into the garden.
FYI: Chile experiences earthquakes on a daily basis and the glass wall gets repaired with a gummy sort of substance over and over until there is nothing left to repair and then they replace the glass. Now I wish I would have taken a picture of the glass with all its "veins" of repairs.
This was the view from my bedroom window. My room was on the second floor and one of my favorite things about it was the poinsettia tree outside my window. Poinsettias are quite common in gardens and along the road. They get very large unlike our holiday potted version.
