Finally! More photos of Chile!

I have been wanting to post some more pictures of Chile and have had a group ready since Jan 13...except for the fact that I lost the CD I had saved them to so I could use them on my fabulous iBook G4. (Mac is better.)

Focus, Jodi. Photos. This group of photos may seem a little odd but they are some of my favorites. I took this group on a day trip to the countryside in Olmué. The drive was about 30-45 minutes from Viña del Mar.

While we were driving around, my Chilean mom and I ran into a family preparing for a Sunday afternoon ride.

Here are a couple of houses that really show the general landscape of this region of Chile.

After lunch we went to another town, I never really knew its name, and I watched the activity in the park for a while. The coolest thing I no
ticed about this park was that the children were playing and riding horses and everyone was relaxed. Sure there were the occasional shouts of "Be careful or Ten cuidado" from the parents but for the most part everyone was fine with being there. Parents didn't chase their children around with antibacterial concoctions and dress them in protective gear to go down the slide. They just spent the day in the park together enjoying the people and the sunshine. That was refreshing.

And of course, I also noticed the dogs in the park.

A cool thing about this park was the
amount of people riding horses around the square. It was a place where people rented a horse for a certain amount of time and rode around the park.
