Today is the first day of my last semester at the University of Kentucky. I'm very excited to see the light at the end of the tunnel of papers, projects & PowerPoints that I need for the sole purpose of graduation.
It's possible that in a year or two I'll be wishing I were back in school. (once I've forgotten about the stress of "dead week" and finals and can only remember the mornings of sleeping until noon during a 3 week Christmas break) However, right now I'm eagerly awaiting the opportunity to work on projects that will actually affect something in the real world, rather than a marketing plan for a Widget in Tombouctou (Timbuktu).
Next week I will begin an internship with Preston-Osborne here in Lexington. I'm very excited about this opportunity...I don't anticipate any widgets or plans for Tombouctou. They have allowed me to select the clients that I prefer to work with and of course, I have chosen the clients within the horse industry. :)
