La playa en La Serena - The beach in La Serena

La Serena was one of the most photogenic areas that I visited. It seemed everywhere I turned there was something that wanted its picture taken. This is a major tourist spot in the summer (June-September) because of its beautiful beaches and quaint cabanas. As you can see from the photo above, this was a great shell collecting beach.

Notice in this photo that there is a huge cross. We visited that cross while we were there and it was incredible. I'll post more photos of it in the near future.

Unfortunately, because we had so much to see in such a limited amount of time, I was only able to spend time on this beach in the early morning and at night. I would have really enjoyed taking sunset pictures here, but I guess you can't have everything!
