Seriously, it was really funny to be so far “out” in the woods and hear cars/bikes racing and fryin’ tires. Didn’t bother me of course, since I’m used to that type of noise after a couple Bike Weeks and Indy 500s.
Never the less, our camp was great. Since there were only 2 men in our group of 8 they sort of kept to themselves at certain times during the hike. Camp was one of those times. The men’s quarters consisted of a tent and a tarp.
We did have a nice little fire to toast ourselves with before going to bed and we tried really hard to not disturb the locals.

The “locals” are Red Efts and we clearly camped in Eftville. There were four that were sleeping in the tree right next to my tent!
I can’t wait for my next backpacking adventure! Gotta hold out for another week!

Hee. When I was younger, I went to summer camp right across the lake from Road America. Noisy!
