Life of the Unemployed

I thought after graduation life would be easy. My goodness, being unemployed is like work…at least for me. ;)

This is the first time in like 14 or 15 years that I haven’t had at least one job. And for the majority of that, I worked 2 jobs…or more. So it’s safe to say working is pretty much all I know, which is why it doesn’t surprise me that I’m turning unemployment into work.

The first day was nice. I lounged around and visited some friends. Tuesday I passed out 23 resumes and planned my day so I could be home in time to watch Oprah and eat strawberries. Life was good.

Then I decided to buy backpacking equipment. That was fun, but work.

Well now that I’ve got gear, I’m working my buns off planning for trips and reading up on what to do. I spend so much time browsing hiking websites it’s starting to seem like work. I was nearly late for a job interview today, AN INTERVIEW, because I was so busy dinking around the house and making plans.

Now that I’ve been out of school for 4 days, I DON’T HAVE TIME FOR A JOB!

My checkbook might disagree in a very short amount of time, but I think I’ll bask in it for now. If I don’t post for a while, you’ll know I’m in the woods somewhere…and tickled pink. ☺
