My First Backpacking Adventure

I went with a group of 8 backpackers from the Sierra Club, 6 of who were very experienced, to the Rockcastle Valley section of the Sheltowee Trace in the Daniel Boone National Forest.

It was an incredible experience. We saw waterfalls, bridges, and all sorts of critters. The section we walked was 18.4 miles.

My new gear worked out very well and my backpack received several compliments both on fit and construction. I was very happy to hear that I got a good one since I really wasn’t sure what I needed.
