So the weekend continued after a great night's rest in my new tent with a Red River Gorge Trail Crew project of repairing a washout on the Sheltowee Trace Connector. Saturday there were 24 volunteers moving unbelievable amounts of rock to fill gabion baskets and create a sturdy surface for the trail.
And certainly, in true trail crew style, there was some time for a nice lunch, socializing, and even a little rest by the river.
Lessons learned: Shorts & nettles don't mix. And some savvy canoeing skills! :)
