This Crazy Life

To all my faithful readers…

My sincere apologies for not posting in like…well, eons. I seem to have acquired this crazy life that, for now, is totally controlling me. I’ve started my new job and I’m really liking it. However, I’m working a few more hours that I anticipated but now that I’m getting settled in and the new phone system and office furniture are pretty well installed (so I can actually get some work done rather than spend hours answering questions or getting out of an installation person’s way) I’m planning to make a HUGE effort to actually leave on time.

I’m also dog sitting right now at the beautiful Gainsborough Farm. It is quite lovely to live in a place with a beautiful patio and people all around to water flowers, clean the house, and mow the lawn…BUT…it is also time consuming and a little stressful to be out of my apartment for 14 days. Not to mention the house does not have internet. Oh my god, how do people survive in this world without the ability to check their email in bed? I’m so spoiled now, not only do I expect DSL anywhere I go, I also expect wireless! I’m downright snobbish about my internet these days.

Well, as you can imagine the extra hours at work and the lack of internet at my current residence is really putting a damper on my blogging opportunities. That will all change once I’m back in my own house.

This will also please my cat who is really starting to miss me. She usually likes me to leave for a day or two so she can catch up on her nap schedule but too many days and she starts to freak out. She’s now reached that stage. I must say that, really, she should just be happy I didn’t bring “the little beast” into our apartment. That’s pretty much her attitude about dogs in the house. She's lived through my two week dog-sit stints before, she'll make it through this one.

And my dog...I doubt she remembers who I am. She's been slightly neglected lately as well. Actually, she'll remember me, I'll just get my payback when she acts like a hooligan and I have to spend time reminding her of her training.

Note: I do stop by to make sure Katie has food and water and a clean litter box. And also remember that my dog doesn't live with me. So when I say they are "neglected" I simply mean their regular attention schedule is disrupted, not that they are not cared for. Had to add a disclaimer, don't want to be an episode of that animal cops show on Animal Planet!

Well, I’ll blog when I can and I’ll be back fairly regularly in a week or so. Please don’t forget about me!
