and I didn't even know it. I just saw a commercial for Hyundai and they mentioned the 2006 Tucson winning a J.D Power & Associates award for something-er-other.
So, of course, I whipped out my handy-dandy iBook G4 and googled "Hyundai Tucson" which I've done like a 100 times over the last 3 weeks or so.
And sure enough, there it is front and center...the Hyundai Tucson is the "Highest Ranked Compact Multi-Activity Vehicle in Initial Quality" by J.D. Power & Associates. Now, honestly, I have no idea what that means other than my Tucson is good for a variety of activities.
Hmmm. Moving right along.
Sooo, since my Tucson is just a 2005 it must be the "Really Close to Being Highest Ranked Compact Multi-Activity Vehicle in Initial Quality" by J.D. Power & Associates.
Granted, I'm sure I've seen all of this when I was car shopping but apparently it didn't make it to my long-term memory. Great to hear now, though.
Regardless of odd-phrased awards, I'm so pleased with my new car. And I'm even more pleased to hear from other Hyundai owners who still really love their cars after 80,000-100,000 miles.
