The Afternoon Adventure – Part 2

I was determined to not make the day a waste and find something cool. I decided to walk around the lake on the gravel and paved walkways figuring I’m at least close to civilization should my bad hiking day continue and I break my neck or something.

As I was walking I noticed the “prairie” field and large swaths mowed through so you could walk easily through the beautiful grasses that were taller than me. This was the view for me at eye level. A nice view but it was the up close views that made this walk interesting.

Below are some of the sights when I looked closer in the grasses. For me, baking in the hot sun in the prairie field at Bernheim Forest was worth it. I highly recommend this walk. [click on the image to enlarge]
