Comfort Zone Experiment: Day 4

I’ve made it through day four [itchy ears and all] of the official exit of my comfort zone where I’ve started changing my earrings everyday…you know, like a girl. This morning I not only changed my earrings but I also wore a necklace and a belt that I haven’t worn in 10 years. And they are gold. So today I changed both my earrings and my metals.

Yikes. Do I have this much courage?

Somehow in conversation this morning I brought up my new plan to my co-worker. She laughed and told me that just yesterday she thought she noticed that I had different earrings on but then decided I must change them all the time but she never noticed.

I cracked up. I specifically asked her if – even one time – she ever thought this week “good heavens what is that girl doing in those earrings?”

Her answer. “Well, no. But I did think there was something about you that looked nice.”

So there you have it folks. Step out of your comfort zone. You’re probably the only one who will notice. And I’m here to tell you that it feels great.
