On Top of the World…Again!

After a couple of days from my crapola weekend, I’m back on top of the world. Well, that might be an exaggeration but I am feelin’ dandy.

I’ve revamped my schedule from grotesquely overcommitted to fantastically NOT-committed. I have one obligation this week and then I have my evenings to myself again. Have I mentioned that I’m thrilled?

Last night I started getting my apartment in order. I can’t say I cleaned the house because it was so messy I’ll have to “get it in order” before I can even begin the cleaning process. That is sad.

I was feeling a little tired so I went to bed early, read for a while, and then fell asleep well before my normal bedtime. I was awakened by a phone call about 10 pm. From what I can remember, I had a very nice conversation, read for a little while longer, and then fell asleep. I actually slept the whole night through without any nightmares about Nazi Germany or eddy lines. And yes, I’m fully aware those are totally unrelated.

Today I learned that we’re hiring another person at work…and an angelic ray of light shone from the heavens above and brightened the lives of those below.

This evening I went to the grocery store and purchased real food with real nutrients. I’m sure my body will convulse soon. For dinner I had a scrum-diddily-umptous salad with pickled beets on the side. I had all the food groups…except fruit…so I followed dinner with a glass of wine.

I also went to the gym tonight!!! Yes, the gym is that place that makes your body feel fantastic, which I haven’t visited in months. I did go but I must admit I didn’t do my full workout because I wanted to be home in time to watch Dancing with the Stars.

I love working one job…and not being overcommitted…and having my evenings free. Life is good again.
