My first walking stick

Ok, so the Red River Gorge wasn't all bad. I did get to see my very first walking stick, which was WAY COOL!!

It was just a little tiny dude and, of course, I didn't have my camera since by this time in the day our ride had come and we just went for some dayhiking in the afternoon. I really wanted to take a picture of it but no such luck.

The funny thing is that it was up on a pile of very large rocks. I had to climb up this skinny little edge to get to it...I'm not a very good climber but I managed...at least I was entertainment for my friends. I did about have a heart attack because Kodie tried to follow me up the rocks. I looked down and saw distinct marks as her strained claws tried desparately to hold her to the side of the rock. Thankfully she was rescued by Chris, who held her until the walking stick fell off the rock and I came back down.

I know what you're thinking...no, I didn't try to pet it or anything. All I did was look at it and it took off and ended up rolling off the rocks. I'm pretty sure it lived...I sure hope it lived.

Either way...it was really cool to see my first walking stick ever.
