Rappel On

I went rappelling for the first time today and loved it. It was bitter-&%$#ing cold. Like 18 degrees with an assaulting wind chill...especially on top of the wall. It was so freaking cold and snowing.

Unfortunately because it was so crazy cold the cameras weren't working well. I did get a couple of pictures of the guys but they weren't able to get the cameras to work during my rappels.

I'll tell more of the tale when I get the time to write my account. I'm pretty tired now. I spent a lot of energy just trying desperately to keep my core temperature maintained. It was that freaking cold out there. I was even freezing while we were hiking, with all of my winter gear on except my fleece camp pants. But if we were going to be out any longer those were going to leave my day pack too.

Great day. Rappelling. Red River Gorge in the snow. Fantastic company.

Didn't I just say I was too tired to type? Good night. More later.
