Finally -- Snow in KY

I know those of you in the US who have been bombarded with snow measured in feet are going to scowl at me right now. This is your chance to back out of reading this post before its too late.

FINALLY! There is some snow in Kentucky! The weather people have been teasing with forecasts of snow for weeks now. We got a lot of rain and just a tad bit of ice bot no snow! Until yesterday, when it snowed all day and most of the night. We still only got 1-2 inches but it is a least nice to see. Nothing that was detrimental to traffic flow. The snow fell steady but was totally manageable. I walked the dogs in the snow and they were so cute with snowflakes on their noses and eyelashes. (isn't there a song about that :)

I'm sure it won't stay long as the sun is shining brightly now but I sure did enjoy it while it was here. I wish I could have gone hiking today. I still don't have any boots since I ruined mine. Oh, I tried to go buy boots last night but the outfitters that have the boots I'd like to try closed at 6 pm...guess what time I arrived...6:20 pm. Boy oh boy, was that a test of not being very angry when I'd really like to be. I just drove home and listened to the music. I watched some TV for a while after I got home and I remained calm and cool. I thought the store was open until 9 pm on Saturdays but I guess it was the other outfitter. Well, today they are open from 1 pm to 5 pm and I'm planning to go today. Maybe I'll be able to get some hiking in next weekend. Let's hope.
