I am pleased to announce that I finally have a new pair of hiking boots. They are not my first choice but they'll do. I really wanted a pair of the Timberland
Cadion GTX XCR but I couldn't get my hands on a pair that fit right. I wanted to try a pair of size 8. The fabulous people at J&H
Lanmark tried to order me a pair but the Ladies Timberland
Cadion GTX XCR in size 8 is on
back order until mid-June. No other size...just the size 8. I clearly want to be in the woods before mid-June so I decided to start again from square one.
After trying nearly 5,000 (note the slight exaggeration) pairs of boots on I finally decided on the
Vasque Ladies Breeze.
It is a lighter boot than I wanted but it's about the only boot that fit my skinny foot. And after all, my feet won't get wet in it. If I need a heavy boot for longer backpacking trips I can always invest in something else and still use this one for
day hiking. In the mean time, I'll be in the woods...with dry feet. :)
