AKUS Concert

Well, my adoring fans have been hounding me asking for an update on how the Alison Krauss & Union Station concert was. Well, ok, so I got one email asking. :)

The seats were 100% the best I've had at a concert. Granted I haven't been to many concerts but we were close enough to see what color of lipstick she was wearing. I think it might have been Sheer Blush or Paradise Pink.

And as I expected, the concert was fab-u-lous. I had goose bumps about 18 1/2 notes into the first song....and then again about every other song after that. I heard several songs that I hadn't heard before and I just discovered that is because there is a new album that I haven't bought yet. Crime! It's called Alison Krauss A Hundred Miles or More: A Collection. You can listen to samples of all the songs on that link. Jacob's Dream came very close to making me cry during the concert. It's really good.

And of course I must mention that my personal favorite was looking at Dan Tyminski. Geez Louise, he sings, he picks, and he looks like he could strap a pack on his back and be fine for a week in the woods. Maybe he wouldn't, but he sure looks good and like he could.

Sorry about that. I just couldn't help myself.

Although she didn't sing my favorite, Down to the River to Pray, the concert was great and I certainly recommend that you see them if they're coming to town near you.
