Field Karaoke

I experienced something last night that I can honestly say I have never experienced before. I went to a field party and fish fry with Karaoke. Yeah, Karaoke in a field by the creek. And you know what? It was a damn good time.

The evening started off with a wagon full of yummy treats. There were pasta salads, slaws, puddings, beans, chips, salsas, and some dishes that were deliciously unrecognizable. The main dish was a huge pan full of freshly fried catfish and frog legs...and on my heavens, it was divine.

After gorging ourselves on all that delicious food, we decided to take a little walk down to the "beach" on the creek, where we proceeded to take silly pictures and surprise/gross out the two girls with us with talk about peeing outside. It was hilarious!

From there we decided we wanted to play Frisbee, which was at the house so I drove the "indoor" girls to the bathroom and got the Frisbee. We played a very "sporty" game of Frisbee and then settled down for the night's entertainment....KARAOKE!

Now, I am not really a Karaoke fan and I have never sang a song in public so I wasn't really sure what to expect. I'm usually pretty uncomfortable in Karaoke bars. But I guess being in a field was a little more comfortable for this "earthy" girl.

We had a blast and yes, I even sang a song (completely sober...drinking only water). I got great cheers from my friends but I think those were more for all the dancing I was doing when I supposed to be singing. I just couldn't keep my feet still!!

Yet again, a totally new experience for me at field Karaoke that proved to be a fantastic time.
