Lexington Farmer's Market

I recently discovered the Lexington Farmer's Market. The Saturday before last I went to the market but I had already purchased my week's groceries at Kroger so I couldn't buy much without it going bad before I ate it. So I bought an ice cream cone and a bag of kettle corn. No danger of those going bad and decided I would come back the following Saturday with my reusable cloth bags. And that's what I did. Kodie went with me and I purchased all of this plus an ice cream cone and a big glass of lemonade at the Diversity Festival.

And all for less than $20. Sweet!!

The whole day was an excellent opportunity for Kodie to practice working in crowds with other dogs and strangers offering food. (which is one thing I don't understand and one of my pet peeves) I'm proud to say she stayed focused and was perfect.

So if you're near Lexington, I highly suggest you check out the market on Vine Street from 8 am to about 2 pm. There is free parking in the 5/3 parking structure and in the little lot off of Main Street near the cool hat store.
