Randomness

Nothing really significant about today. I had a good, productive day at work which, I'm glad to take when I can get it. Often the phone is crazy and we're all running around like a bunch of mad people. But not today. I actually got a lot done. Yeah.

Enjoyed a nice walk with my dog and watched a thunder storm roll in during the last half. It was wild because on the way back every few steps we'd step into a "pocket" of air that went from hot & humid to cool & refreshing. Seemed a lot like tornado potential but thankfully nothing so far.

Spent some time planning my backpacking trips for the next couple of months. Made a calendar error and one that I thought I could go on is out so I only have 4 trips planned through mid-October. Looking forward to spending most weekends in the woods.

Been sitting here wondering how I am so lucky to have such a great dog. She really is amazing and I'm very fortunate to have her in my life. I certainly don't mean to disparage Katie but cats are just different. I'm very fortunate to have both of my pets. Oh! And Finnigan! He still hasn't learned to eat when I put the food in but he gets it eventually. He is really developing his colors now that he's in a gallon bowl and eating color-enhancing food. I really enjoy watching him swim. He's a beautiful fish.
