Kodie is home from the hospital and doing well. She's pretty tired but thankfully didn't need surgery. She is eating but acts like it is work. She is supposed to get very small portions per feeding spread out over the course of the day.
So unfortunately she has entered a new phase in her life...the never-going-off-leash again. Ok, so that is an exaggeration but I am seriously going to have to be very careful about monitoring her while she is off leash. This time it wasn't terrible dangerous but next time a bone or other protrusion could puncture her cavity wall and be irreparable. That scares me to death.
Considering her tiredness and my funds being spent at the hospital, I'm not planning on backpacking this weekend. Bummer. But after this ordeal I can't ask her to walk 12 + miles per day.
