Stock Piling

I promise I will start blogging eventually. Please keep checking back. I'm stock piling things I'd like to write about but between Southern Lights, buying a house, and, you know, things like eating and sleeping, I'm just running out of time. Once Southern Lights opens this weekend things will slow down a tad. Events are always boogers until the day actually arrives.

Kodie actually is working with me today and tomorrow because I'll be there so late for parties, etc. that I can't get home in time to take care of her. So, much to her boredom, she gets to come with me. She's such a good dog. With an occasional reminder when I leave the room, she just lays in her bed and watches all the commotion through the office door. Honestly, I just don't know how I ever got so lucky to have such a wonderful dog.

Oh, but she's certainly not perfect and neither am I. Guess what I did today?!

We hosted a party and some of the guest services staff worked quite late decorating for Southern Lights. So I asked to take some of the leftovers to them while they were working late. When I got to the building the side doors were locked. So I had to walk around to the back of the building. Yep. And I left the food in the car with the dog. DUH!!!! Luckily I wasn't even gone 5 minutes so she hadn't torn into the boxes. She tried but didn't have enough time. I had to apologize to everyone because there were remnants of a paw indention on one of the boxes and a squashed corner where she had tried to get into it. Luckily it was all superficial so the food was fine. And the people were cool. And really. How dumb can I be??? Leaving boxes of spinach dip, crackers, blue cheese dressing, and cookies in a car with an [always] hungry dog!

Sigh. It was a long day. ;)

Ah, so you do waork at the horse park! When I worked for Coke in the Lex area the HP was my account. I have/had a great relationship with Elmar and once they were realigning the territories and giving the HP to someone else and they objected! So, Elmar remained mine. I truly miss him, he is such a character.
