I love my house.

I love my new house. I'm so thankful that everything has worked out as it has...including the major plumbing repairs happening in the first 2 days of ownership. That meant that my family was here for support and advice with making the repairs. I'm very thankful for that.

I'm no where near settled in yet but I did have my first shower tonight [considering the water has been turned off since Thursday] and I really enjoyed it. I always thought the best showers were after spending a few days in the woods but tonight's shower may have surpassed that. I have 4 shower curtain rods, 2 bungee cords and 3 shower curtains because the rennovation in the bathroom is not yet complete and I have to keep all the walls dry but it didn't take anything away from the enjoyment of the shower.

So in the next few weeks I'll be finishing up the drywall and tile in the shower.

Oh yeah, that's right. I do some of my own home repairs...thanks to the fantastic instruction from my very handy brother-in-law.

Thanks so much to my family!! I couldn't made it through everything without you!!

I'll try to post some pictures as soon as I find my camera and USB cord. :)

When I (we, even though my husband was transferred and not able to help) got the house ready to sell in Ver. my SIL helped me with the home improvements. We fixed a hole in the ceiling (don't ask) and redid the front porch, retiled the bathroom...the retiling was awesome! I was her helper because there was no way I could have figured it out...I remember being up at 1am finsihing it up. I also ended up in the emergency room with dry wall dust in my eye. It felt like rocks!! BTW, Ver. was highlighted in the Courier Jnl yesterday. The B&B on Rose Hill...very complimentary to my home town.

So glad you have your home. There is nothing like home ownership!

Thanks for sharing about the Rose Hill Inn. I worked there during college. That was a nice article about Versailles. It's gonna get it's own post!
