Ok, we've all been there. Invited to some place for dinner and you know going in that it will purposefully be all Martha-Stewarted up so much you'll just want to puke. A friend of mine described a similar situation in such a way that I just had to post it. It was too funny to pass up. Enjoy!
"Today we are going to start with a tomato bisque soup sprinkled with la-ti dah cheese and accompanied by nothing I've ever heard of bread, and
then we will dine on fresh greens and Lord knows what homemade dressing,followed by something almondine and bacon encrusted French something or other. We will end the meal with flaming bananas in an exotic pastry shell and...by then I've had it up to the gills."
