The Flower That Tried To Kill My Wrist

For my regular readers, you may notice a trend,  it seems the universe is trying to kill me with one slow incident after another.

Guess what!?  I've got another one for you!

A couple of weeks ago I finished planting all of my flower gardens.  Everything in the ground are Kentucky native plants, which I'm very excited about.  One flower is so cool, I made its own little area near the deck so it could be a focal point.  It is a Passion Flower.  For those who don't know what it is, I have posted a photo below.  It is also the plant that makes the Passion Fruit.

The Passion Flower is a vine, therefore, it needs a trellis or other structure to cling to. I decided to build my own trellis. I borrowed a saw and used some stakes that I had in the shed. I built a very simple and useful trellis of which I'm very proud. I think it will be subtly perfect once my Passion Flower begins hugging and blooming on it.

Before I actually planted the flower, I had to install the trellis in the ground. I tried to borrow a larger hammer when I borrowed the saw but we both forgot about it once I arrived to pick up the saw. [that's because it is a REALLY nice saw]

Once I got home, it didn't matter, I could've installed that trellis with a Q-Tip, cuz I'm so handy, you know. :)

After careful measuring I began pounding the trellis into the ground. The hammer was clearly too small but I knew I could make do. I carefully pounded my little heart out. On one swing a piece of the wood broke free and the hammer collided with my arm.

So now this is how I tend the flower.
