I have returned from the Land of the Lost. I’ve been relatively busy but strangely I mostly haven’t felt like writing. I know all my dedicated fans [ha ha] have been so disappointed with my lack of news.
Below is a run down of the events of the last couple of weeks. However interesting it may be.
* My Passion flower is growing and blooming like crazy and I’m happy to announce I have a baby Passion fruit growing. I guess that broken wrist was worth it.
* My property is slowing sinking due to the excavation by chipmunks. I had no idea those little boogers are so destructive. And they are also eating my jalapeno peppers. Talk about an injustice! I’m preparing to wage a war on the cutely dressed rodents. I am looking into options of chipmunk control. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. So far it seems getting an outdoor cat is my most effective option. But I certainly have my concerns about that too.
* I love my house. I spent all day today doing yard work, lounging on the deck and the couch, and cleaning & cooking. At least once a day I think to myself (and sometimes say out loud) how much I love my house.
* I went out for coffee with a man. You could probably consider it a date. And we went out again over the weekend. I’m pretty sure I scared him off the other night. Somehow we got into a conversation about my family, and like all families (except maybe his), my family is warped. Time will tell if another bit the dust.
* I went backpacking after a zillion and a half months. It was a wonderful summer trip as we camped on the shore of a quiet lake. We spent a lot of time floating in the water and Kodie swam so much that her hind end would float sideways because she was so tired. Thank goodness I got her the Ruff Wear life vest or she’d drown for sure. She’s just not made to swim 2-3 hours straight. Neither am I. Thank goodness for fun floaties.
