I'm a Big Girl Now

This year I was informed by my mother that I was to do my own Christmas shopping. [my family celebrates Christmas at New Year's] For the past 5-6 years, my mom has done all my Christmas shopping, wrapped all the presents and all I have done is write her a check after it's all over.

This year it did not happen.

Now for those of you who know me, you know how much I despise shopping. I was not looking forward to this task. However, my friend Chris from work decided to take me shopping and "show me the ropes." She's a hard core shopper.

We had the day planned to purchase the gifts I need, then go to Build-A-Bear, and then have lunch at The Pub. So that's exactly what we did. Here is my new friend from Build-A-Bear.


So showing the bunny that I chose, stuffed, and "air bathed" might have canceled the "big girl" statement. Either way it was a fun day. My shopping is done and so is half of my wrapping. This is a first!
