Winter Storm 2009
Many of you may know that Kentucky is crippled with a winter storm right now. My backyard has tree limbs and power lines down, no electricity, and most importantly, no internet. :)
Yes, that is ALL ice! And then we got 2-3 inches of snow after about 24 hours of ice. 
After a full day of being wrapped in a cocoon of blankets and sleeping, I couldn't take it any more. I grabbed the phone book and began looking up numbers for hotels. Through this process it suddenly dawned on me that we have a private club at work that is currently closed for the season. IF the building has electricity, it would have hot showers, TV, heat, and....INTERNET!
So I called the park police to see if there was power. JACKPOT! Here I am, camped out on the floor of the club after a nice hot shower, watching a movie and blogging about the storm that has occurred over the last 48 hours.
Here are a few shots. If it wasn't so destructive it could be quite scenic.

And now my beautiful tree is injured. I hope it can be saved. When I fled earlier this evening it wasn't split so I'm hopeful.
