Ok, so he yanked his IV out once or twice...maybe three times. So he is now demanding warm milk constantly. So he stands up by himself and dances the jig across the stall while smoking a cigar.
I'm still not convinced that he is like his father. I still think he's going to grow up to be a dear sweet camel and you will soon find us riding off into the sunset.
Here are a couple of shots from his trip to the hospital.
Note: I plan to spend the night with him tomorrow night so I can do all of his night feedings. I will have lots of pictures later in the weekend. He's 8 days old already!

What type of plasma do you infuse a camel with? Camel Plasma? Where did they get it?
Windigrrl
Yes, they gave him camel plasma through the peritoneum. Much like donating blood and plasma for humans, animals can do the same thing. Joe's plasma was shipped from the east coast somewhere. The equine hospitals here have a group of horses that are "blood donors." Their entire job is to donate blood on a regular basis. I'm not sure what the time frame is for equine blood donation. That group of horses really has quite a nice life considering their only job is to get pricked with a needle every now and then!
