Electric Lawn Mower Advice

Anybody have any advice on electric lawn mowers? I'm considering one for the following reasons but hope I'm not misunderstanding them.

• I need a backup for my reel mower.
• It will not be difficult to start like a gas engine mower.
• It is quieter.
• It will be easier to maintain.

Now for the potential cons.

• I'll have to deal with an extension cord.
• It's heavy.

Anyone have any opinions?? I've never used one before.
