Welcome Home Lily!

For those of you not from the Lexington, KY area, we have a very "fun" waste management program.  We have a whole family of waste containers.  And I just welcomed home the newest member.

First, let me introduce you to the rest of the receptacle family.  Herbie is the green garbage container.  Rosie is the blue recycling receptacle.  Lenny is the gray yard waste container.  And now...we have LILY!  A raintainer!!

If you live in Lexington, KY, own the property where you will install Lily, and agree to take occasional surveys about her use, you can qualify to purchase a Lily for $75.  She comes with a soaker hose spigot, regular fill spigot, overflow attachment, lid for a potted plant and a wick to draw water from the barrel into the potted plant.  

This is a great way to save water while doing your summer watering and reduce the amount of water run-off into the sewer system.  I can't wait to install Lily and get some rain.  I'll keep you updated on how she's doing.
