Apparently restaurants don’t like me. Lately I have been experiencing some issues with eating out.
On July 4th I had a lovely time watching the city’s parade. Afterwards we planned to get something to eat. Being huge Mexican food junkie, I suggested a good little place in my neck of the woods called Jalapenos. It’s well known and my friends said that would be fine.
We made the drive only to find that restaurant was CLOSED. That’s right, I said CLOSED. C-L-O-S-E-D. I was so disappointed. I got over it. Ate some crappy Applebee’s nachos instead of delicious freshly fried tortilla chips and salsa.
So tonight I had planned to eat Indian food with a friend at a restuarnt that we had never been too before. Banana Leaf…apparently it is the Lexington home of the Mumbai Dosa Marsala. Never had it but I’ve never had any Indian food I didn’t like so we decided to try it.
We were to meet at 7 pm. I pulled up to the restaurant at approximately 6:57 only to find it CLOSED. That’s right, I said CLOSED. C-L-O-S-E-D.
According to their website they are closed until July 29 for vacation.
I’m starting to get a complex. What do you have to do around here to get a meal?
Apparently you have to cook.
